Are you condemning others?

Monday Morning Motivation – Condemning

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "condemning."

Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.

Condemning

Certain words are just loaded with negative connotations. Condemning is one such word.

When I think of condemnation, it’s not a pretty picture that comes to mind. It’s the picture of concluding that someone is essentially unredeemable; and, as a result, they have been cast aside into a trash heap for the worthless. Not good.

And yet, sometimes—and I hate to admit it—I have an inclination toward condemning others. Not good. I couldn’t help but think of the following as I wrote the last sentence:

  • Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. – 1 Corinthians 13:4

This simple verse pretty much lays it out—you can choose to condemn, or you can choose to love. Pretty easy choice when you get right down to it!

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • Are you condemning others?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
