Monday Morning Motivation – Important

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "kind"

Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.

Important

The Important Things

It is way too easy to fall in to the trap of thinking that the tasks on our calendar for the day are absolutely, positively the most important things to do today.  A challenge for you:

  • Do you remember what was on your calendar four weeks back?

My guess is that most of us can’t remember even one item on the calendar.  Now let’s turn this around a bit.  Suppose that you put the following – or even one of the following -- recurring activities on your calendar for Monday’s:

  • Journal and reflect
  • Reach out to someone and thank them for what they did last week
  • Exercise

My guess is that if you put these on your calendar you would be a bit more likely to remember them four weeks from now.  Further, my guess is that you would actually look forward to these calendar items.

My question to you is as follows:

  • Will you spend your time on the most important things today?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me and have a great week!

About MMM: Each week I publish “Monday Morning Motivation” in the hopes that one person will find a bit of inspiration and that inspiration will have a positive impact on their life.  My motivation comes from experiences, reading, sermons, and discussions.
