Monday Morning Motivation – Reflect

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "reflect".

Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.

Reflect

Great! We finished the project/task/activity. What’s next?

How about stepping back and taking the time to reflect on what you just accomplished?

We all have a ton of things on our plates these days. Between work and family most of our lives are over-full. As a result, we move quickly–too quickly IMHO–from one task to the next without taking the requisite time to reflect on what we have accomplished.

Reflection gives us time to celebrate our successes, learn from our mistakes, and enjoy the gifts that we have been given. Yes, it may slow us down a bit; but I have to ask, is that really a bad thing?

So, this week I’m going to ask you to take a little challenge:

  • Can you take the first five minutes of each day to reflect on the positive events of yesterday?

I’m guessing that if you spend this small amount of time at the start of your day this next week, you’ll find that things go a bit better each day.

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me and have a great week!

Curt
