Monday Morning Motivation – Passionate

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "passionate."

Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.

Passionate

I tend to think with my head versus my heart. And, while that is often a good thing, it also often keeps me from experiencing certain things in life.

Those who think with the heart have the gift of passion. This gift of passion allows these individuals to experience life with an incredible depth of feeling and caring related to ideas, to pursuits, and to people. This allows them to experience wonderful highs that remain hidden from those like me who solely focus on the rational/logical aspect of things.

Once I became aware of this gap in my way of thinking—or should I see feeling!—I began working hard on developing my passionate (heartful) side. It has NOT been easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding. That is because there are things in life that can only be experienced when we set the rational aside and embrace the passionate.

Through this experience, I have come to understand that life is not a continuum spanning from rational to passionate.  Rather, passion and the rational are unique, independent dimensions that can BOTH be embraced in your life. And, as you develop BOTH these dimensions, you have the opportunity to experience life more fully.

And that’s a good thing in my book!

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • Are you passionate enough in your life?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
