Monday Morning Motivation – Things

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day.

Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content. Today we discuss "things."

Things

This week, most of us will celebrate Thanksgiving, and we’ll be inundated with the sales pitches of “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday.” In fact, things have changed so much over the past decade that these are no longer single days, but, rather, have almost evolved into seasons themselves.

When I think of “Thanksgiving,” I truly think of giving thanks. Furthermore, I think of the “Holiday season” as holy—as in the “Holy Day” of Christmas.

It’s super easy to get caught up in the consumerism that surrounds this time of the year, but it’s important to remember that it’s NOT about the things. It’s about giving thanks for the Blessings that all of us have received in our lives.

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • Are you focusing too much on the things?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
