Monday Morning Motivation – Worrying

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "worrying."
Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.
Covid, inflation, politics, the weather, family, business. Yeah, there are more than a few things that can cause me to worry! However, at the end of the day, all the worrying in the world rarely changes a thing.
My message this week is simple:
- Quit focusing on what you can’t control and start focusing on what you can control.
While it’s an easy message to understand and deliver, it’s NOT an easy message to execute. We’re wired for survival, and being “on alert” is a great way to stay alive. Worry is natural. It’s NOT worrying that is unnatural.
Recognizing how we are wired and focusing on changing our behavior patterns can—and is—quite challenging. However, pushing through the challenge can be incredibly beneficial.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Is spending timing worrying about things proving helpful in your life?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
