Monday Morning Motivation – Complaining

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "complaining."

Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.

Complaining

News flash: Sometimes life sucks.

Second news flash: Others also have to deal with life sucking.

Third news flash: Rarely do others enjoy hearing you talk about how your life sucks.

OK, so the above is a bit harsh. But nonetheless, I feel that it is very accurate. We do face challenges in our lives. And sometimes we need to be able to share our challenges with others. And ALWAYS—yes, I’m using an extreme word—we need to be there for others who are going through difficult situations.

However, we need to be careful to avoid spending too much time on the “what went wrong” and instead focus on the “what went right,” as well as the “what I can do to change things.”

Recognizing when it’s time to move on from complaining is a major sign of maturity that will greatly enhance your relationship with others.

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • Are you complaining too much?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
