Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
We are blessed to live in the most affluent and easiest time on this earth. Our choices are seemingly endless.
And yet with all of this abundance, our levels of happiness are at perhaps an all-time low. I believe this is because many of us have fallen into the trap of believing “more is better.” There is no doubt that consumerism runs rampant and that advertisers are better and better at convincing us to purchase things that we do not need.
We all know this. And yet, many, many of us keep buying. (DISCLAIMER – you can NEVER have enough fishing tackle / fishing tackle is CLEARLY an exception to this entire topic.) While I make light of my obsession, the reality is that nearly all of us have some sort of obsession with “needing” more. Of not having enough.
In my mind, we would all be well served to reflect a bit on this topic.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- What is enough to you?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
About MMM: Each week I publish “Monday Morning Motivation” in the hopes that at least one person will find a bit of inspiration and that this inspiration will have a positive impact on their life. My motivation comes from experiences, reading, sermons, and discussions.
