Monday Morning Motivation – Granted

(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Granted

There are two things that come to mine when I thing of granted:

  • He takes me for granted
  • He granted me access to…

Granted has to do with the amount of respect that we provide to others.  When we GRANT others respect, we normally find they reciprocate and our relationship grows.  Conversely, when we do NOT grant respect, things can turn ugly in a hurry.

The key with granted is that we are in control of what we grant to others.  Ultimately, no one forces us to grant anything.  We choose.

Which, circling back to where we started (takes for granted / granted access) is why what you grant to others is so important.  In both of these cases what one person grants to the other has the ability to make a huge difference in the other’s life.

Which brings us to this week’s question:

  • What have you granted lately?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.
