Monday Morning Motivation – Gratitude

(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Gratitude

While we all say “thank you” multiple times each day, have you actually stopped to think about how you express gratitude to others?  Further, have you taken the time to think about what you should be grateful for in your life?

I am constantly looking for different ideas on personal development.  Two ideas that surface repeatedly are meditation (a future topic I’m sure!) and gratitude.  A great number of highly productive, highly successful, and EXTREMELY happy individuals mention meditation and gratitude as key to their productivity, success, and happiness.

With that in mind I have taken to making a brief journal entry to start every day.  The entry focuses on what I did right, what I did wrong, and what I am grateful for each day.  It only takes ten to fifteen minutes at the beginning of the day.  However, the impact of taking this brief time to reflect and express gratitude for those things that I have been blessed with is enormous.

My thought for this week is:

  • Do you think that your day would be a bit more fulfilling if you found the time to reflect and give thanks for those gifts that you have received in your life?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.

Curt
