What is keeping you from being an extra-miler?

Monday Morning Motivation – Extra-Miler

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "[word]."

Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.

Extra-miler

“Going the extra mile” is a phrase that has incredibly positive connotations.

When we speak about an “extra-miler,” we speak about someone who does more than is expected. Someone who puts forth the extra effort. Someone who cares.

And it is that caring that makes all the difference in the world.

While some go the extra mile for personal gain, most “extra-milers” do so for the benefit of others. And that ties back to the message I have shared previously about making the move from success to significance:

  • Moving from success to significance occurs when your focus changes from impacting your own life to impacting the lives of others.

Going the extra mile can be in terms of providing the extra dollar, spending the extra hour, or giving the extra word of encouragement. The key is that you extend yourself beyond your comfort zone for the benefit of others.

And when you do so, you make an impact that is often beyond what you can imagine.

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • What is keeping you from being an extra-miler?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
