Monday Morning Motivation – Forgiveness
Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "Forgiveness".
Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.

Choosing Forgiveness: The Hardest, Healthiest Gift We Can Give Ourselves
This week, I want to explore a word that’s easy to say but hard to live—forgiveness.
Just hearing it might make your chest tighten. Maybe you’re thinking, “There’s no way I could ever forgive them for what they did.” And that’s okay. Forgiveness is one of the most personal, complex decisions we ever face.
But here’s what I’ve come to learn: holding on to anger feels powerful for a while, until it starts to eat away at your peace. The longer we grip that pain, the heavier it becomes. It shows up in our thoughts, our mood, and even in how we treat people who had nothing to do with what happened.
When I’ve been stuck in that space—resentful, replaying the same story over and over—it never actually made me feel better. It only kept me tied to the very thing I wanted to move on from.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting. It doesn’t mean saying what happened was okay. It means choosing not to let it control you anymore. It’s the quiet decision to reclaim your peace, one deep breath at a time.
It’s not easy. In fact, it’s one of the hardest things to do. But every time we choose to let go, we create space for something softer, freer, and lighter to move in.
In the end, forgiveness isn’t really about the other person—it’s about giving yourself permission to heal.
That brings me to this week’s question:
- What is keeping you from offering forgiveness?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
