Monday Morning Motivation – Volunteer
Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Why Volunteering Might Be the Most Valuable Thing You Do This Week
Monday through Friday is often dubbed the “work week,” and for good reason — most of our waking hours during these days are devoted to our jobs. We hustle, show up, meet deadlines, and keep things running. But after pouring so much energy into work, many of us find we have little left for anything else — especially volunteering.
And that’s a shame.
Work is necessary — it pays the bills and fuels our financial stability. But let’s be honest: for many, it doesn’t always fill the soul. That’s often because we’re working for something (a paycheck, security), rather than working from something (a place of passion or purpose). It’s a reality that many face — and yet, it doesn’t mean we have to shelve our passions completely.
Volunteering, on the other hand, flips the script.
Think about it: when we volunteer, it’s usually for something we care deeply about — a cause, a community, a mission. There’s joy in that. A sense of alignment. Volunteering might not put cash in our pockets, but it does something arguably more important — it fills our hearts. It recharges us in ways that work often can’t.
That’s why I believe we should all carve out time to volunteer. Not just once a year, but regularly. Because giving your time to something meaningful isn’t just good for the world — it’s good for you.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Where would you most like to volunteer?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
