Do you have enough faith to be persistent?

Monday Morning Motivation – Persistent

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "persistent."

Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.

Persistent

It is often said that one of the keys in life is to show up every day and do the work. It is amazing how being persistent is so often rewarded vis-à-vis accomplishing the things we have on our minds and in our hearts.

The challenge is that, when you are persistent, you MUST face the reality and repeated presence of failures. You have to get back up, brush yourself off, and accept that you have skinned knees. And do it all over again. And again. And again.

To make it even more challenging, many around you are going to ask you, “Why are you putting yourself through that?” And sometimes this constant questioning can creep into your psyche and cause you to start asking the same question.

Why are some persistent and continue to endure failure after failure in pursuit of their objectives?

It’s because of faith. If you believe in the goal you are pursuing—if you have faith—then you do NOT have any choice but to be persistent. Even when things look to be hopeless, being persistent and trusting in faith can pay huge dividends.

To help you out, I’d offer this definition of faith from Napoleon Hill:

  • Faith is definiteness of purpose backed by the belief in the attainment of the object of that purpose.

Whether you believe in God, a higher power, or just yourself, having faith and being persistent is the cornerstone of achieving your life’s goals.

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • Do you have enough faith to be persistent?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
