Monday Morning Motivation – Punctual

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "punctual."

Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.

Punctual

Sometimes it is the little things in life that mean a lot. Like showing up. Like showing up on time. Like being punctual.

Even though we live in a world today that is easier, is “cushier”, and in which we have fewer concerns about the basics in life; we are all under more time pressure than ever before in the history of mankind. And, for many, that means that we are always running from place to place—and that we are often showing up late.

That’s why being punctual has become even MORE of a valued trait these days. Being punctual says several things:

  • It says you keep your word.
  • It says you keep your schedule.
  • It says you value time.
  • And, most importantly, it says that you value OTHERS’ time.

It’s this last one that has become so rare. We have morphed into a society where we are too much about “number one” and too little about others. When you show up on time, as promised, people notice. People appreciate it. People recognize that you care.

And what is more important in life than caring about others?

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • Could you do a better job of being more punctual?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
