Monday Morning Motivation – Rebuilding

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "rebuilding."

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Rebuilding

One of the things I enjoy most about producing Monday Morning Motivation is the opportunity it gives me to slow down and reflect. In doing so, I often notice truths that feel obvious in hindsight—but only after I pause long enough to really see them.

One simple way this happens is by breaking down the word I’m focusing on for the week. This week’s word is rebuilding.

  • “Re” – to do again

  • “Building” – to construct

At its core, rebuilding means putting something back together that once existed. And while that sounds hopeful, it also carries an uncomfortable truth: before something can be rebuilt, it was likely broken, damaged, or torn apart.

Rebuilding after difficult decisions

Throughout my life, I’ve made decisions I’m not proud of—decisions that negatively impacted my faith, friendships, family, fitness, and finances. Ironically, these are the very areas I value most and strive to help others strengthen.

Facing the need to rebuild in these areas hasn’t always been easy. It requires humility, honesty, and a willingness to acknowledge what went wrong rather than ignore it.

Does rebuilding always work?

The honest answer? Not always.

But more often than not, the act of rebuilding has led to meaningful progress. I’ve been blessed to experience success along the way, and those moments have provided the fuel and motivation to keep going—to not give up when rebuilding felt slow, frustrating, or uncertain.

Even when the outcome wasn’t what I hoped for, the process itself mattered.

Growth through the process

Rebuilding has taught me new lessons, helped me grow as an individual, and pushed me to live with greater intention. It has reminded me that restoration is not wasted effort—even when it’s imperfect—because growth often happens in the rebuilding, not just in the result.

Restoration, after all, is part of God’s greater plan.

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • Where are you focusing your rebuilding activities?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
