Where in life do you need to be a bit more responsible?

Monday Morning Motivation – Responsible

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "responsible."

Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter along to others who you think would benefit from the content.

Responsible

I’m going to use the “I hate” start again this week—I hate being responsible!

Well, not really, but sometimes it sure would be nice not to have to worry about anything or anyone and just do my own thing.

Then I think, what would the world be like if we all acted like this? Not a pretty thought.

Being responsible means putting someone or something in front of OUR needs. At the time, this can be painful, frustrating, and feel uncomfortable. HOWEVER, just about every time I am responsible, I feel better afterwards, and—more importantly—someone or something is better.

Essentially, by being responsible we make the world a better place.

Yes, I know this sounds a bit idealistic and is a bit of “Mom and apple pie.” But it is true. When we take on responsibility to serve, we make things better. And, here’s the selfish part: We also make ourselves better!

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • Where in life do you need to be a bit more responsible?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
