Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "discover."
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
It’s always a great time to watch a young child explore something new. Their mind is not cluttered with experience of failure. They are curious to learn. They are fearless in what they pursue.
If you watch them for any period of time, you will see the expression of wonderment on their face as they discover the new things in life. The sense of happiness and excitement that goes along with these new discoveries is incredibly fun to see/be around.
Unfortunately, as we age, we don’t explore nearly as much, and, not surprisingly, we don’t discover nearly as much. That’s sad. There is little doubt that any explorer has had a few bad experiences, has taken a few wrong turns, and has been exposed to some undesirable outcomes.
However, it is only through exploration that we learn new things, grow as individuals, and live the life we are designed to live. Pulling back on exploration takes away the joy of discovery. And that’s not a good thing.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- What do you need to discover?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
About MMM: Each week I publish “Monday Morning Motivation” in the hopes that at least one person will find a bit of inspiration and that this inspiration will have a positive impact on their life. My motivation comes from experiences, reading, sermons, and discussions.
