Monday Morning Motivation – Compass
(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
Compass
As I am prone to do, I am turning to Mr. Webster to lay the groundwork for this piece. One of Mr. Webster’s definitions for compass is:
- Something that helps a person make choices about what is right, effective, etc.
We take WAY too many things in life for granted. Further, we act instinctively or impulsively in many situations.
In my mind, we would all be much better served to step back and identify the compass that we should be using to guide our path. There is no right or wrong compass, there is only the compass that we each use to guide our actions. The challenge that we face is that sometimes we lose sight of that compass and go off track — sometimes WAY off track.
Fortunately compasses are pretty stable devices and have the uncanny ability to guide us back on path. That leads to this week’s question:
- Which compass are you using to guide your thoughts and actions?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.
