Monday Morning Motivation – Prosperity

(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Prosperity

Today I’m heading to Wikipedia versus Mr. Webster for some background:

  • Prosperity is the state of flourishing, thriving, good fortune or successful social status.  Prosperity often encompasses wealth but also includes other factors which can be independent of wealth to varying degrees, such as happiness and health.

Read that one again please!  Flourishing.  Thriving.  Good Fortune.  Successful Social Status.

And then they throw in wealth.  Ironically the inclusion of “wealth” in relation to prosperity seems to CHEAPEN the concept.

There is absolutely no doubt that money CAN make your life much, much easier.  However, there are no guarantees that it WILL make your much more fulfilling.  Much more prosperous.

Prosperity IS about thriving.  It’s about being grateful for ALL of what you have – not just your wealth.

With that in mind, my question to you for this week:

Is your prosperity based on wealth or your happiness?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.
