Monday Morning Motivation – Someday

(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

How many times have you said to yourself “Someday I’m going to <<fill in the blank with your favorite statement>>”?

And how many times have you kicked yourself for not taking the steps to make that favorite statement a reality?

My favorite quote – which I share often — is from Jim Rohn:

  • We must live with one of two pains.  The pain of discipline or the pain of regret.

The quote is my favorite as it serves as a reminder (sometimes a not so pleasant reminder!) of the importance of the decisions that I make on where to spend my time.

While we are all busy and have too many things on our plate, ultimately the only thing that prevents us from starting on our “someday” is the self-discipline.  And as the quote above reveals, if we do not have the discipline we are going to face the regret.  We need to be aware of that trade off WHEN we make our decisions versus AFTER we make our decisions.

With the above in mind, question for you this week is:

  • Why can’t today be someday?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.
