Monday Morning Motivation – Success

(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Success

One of my favorite quotes is from Earl Nighingale:

  • Success Is The Gradual Realization of A Worthy Ideal

The two key words here are “gradual” and “worthy”.

It is quite romantic to dream of becoming an overnight success.  The reality is that the vast majority of overnight successes honed their crafts over weeks, months and years.  I would go so far as to argue that success realized quickly is rarely success that is maintainable.

Similarly, success without alignment to those things that are important to you, is also rarely maintainable.  That is why so many people who reach the top of the proverbial mountain they are climbing realize that they are not happy.  They figure out that they climbed the wrong mountain!

With the above in mind, the question for you today is:

  • Does your current path REALLY lead you to where you want to go; and, do you have the conviction to stay on that path for the next twenty years?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.

Curt
