Monday Morning Motivation – Zone

(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Zone

Get up.  Eat breakfast.  Go to work.  Come home.  Eat dinner.  Watch TV.  Go to bed.  Repeat.

While the above may not describe your day exactly, my guess is that most of your day IS spent in your personal comfort zone.

  • Do you think there is much chance of making a significant breakthrough in your life if you spend all of it in your comfort zone?

It is really easy to fall in to the trap of repeating the same things over and over and not stepping out to try new things.  I am as guilty as the next person in falling in to the trap of the “comfort zone”.  After all, “comfortable” is often very enjoyable!

But if you want to drive change, to get to the next level, or to move from success to significance, you are going to need to get out of the comfort zone.  Scary?  You bet!  But there is one thing I have learned time and time again:

  • Rarely do I regret the things I do.  Often do I regret the things I do NOT do

Yes stepping outside the comfort zone has the risk of putting you in the “danger zone”.  However, the alternative is to live a life of regret.  And my guess is that is not an experience you care to have!

My challenge to you this week is as follows:

  • Take an action in one area of your life – faith, friends and family, fitness, or finance – that moves you out of your comfort zone.

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.
