Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "purpose."
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
I try to write/blog around themes. These themes normally have multiple concepts that provide me with a topic for my weekly Monday Morning Motivation. This week, the concept—purpose—showed up for the THIRD TIME on my list. That’s the first time a concept has shown up THREE TIMES.
How ironic this is, as purpose is probably the most important concept that each of us needs to come to terms with in our life.
There are countless philosophies as to the meaning of life. A vast majority of these come down to the central question of “what’s the purpose?” Now, I’m not going to attempt to take on answering this question for me or you. Instead, I am going to challenge you—and me—to reflect on what purpose means in your life.
You can go a number of different ways with this one:
- You can take the spiritual angle and frame the topic in terms of your relationship to a supreme being.
- You can go close to home and frame the topic in terms of how you interact with your family.
- You can go a little broader and frame the topic in terms of how you support humanity on this earth as a whole.
- You can go really close to home and frame the topic in terms of how you can/should become the best version of you.
- Or you can go down any one of countless other paths.
How you choose to answer the question is not as important as the asking. What is important is that you accept the challenge to answer the question.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- What's your purpose in life?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
About MMM: Each week I publish “Monday Morning Motivation” in the hopes that at least one person will find a bit of inspiration and that this inspiration will have a positive impact on their life. My motivation comes from experiences, reading, sermons, and discussions.
