Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss reform.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
Breaking down reform you get:
- Re – Do again.
- Form – Bring together parts or combine to create something.
So, essentially, reforming is all about a fresh start. About starting over. About taking the various parts and combining them into something new.
These days the most common use of the word may be in the context of politics— a topic that I am NOT going to get into here! I would argue that the concept applies equally well to the personal, professional, and spiritual dimensions of our lives.
We all have staked out our own identities in each of these dimensions. However, these identities are often “just there” and NOT part of a conscious decision-making process. In my opinion, that’s NOT a good thing.
Our personal, professional, and spiritual lives make up the vast majority of who we are. And, we should—again, in my opinion—have a conscious picture of who we are striving to be in each of these areas. Reform allows for the possibility that we might need or want to make some changes in one or all of these dimensions.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- What do you need to reform in your life?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
