Rest
I used to hate naps. What was I thinking?
Kidding aside, I try to pack more into every day than I should. However, over time I have come to understand that part of what I am packing into the day needs to be time to rest.
- We are not designed to work continuously.
Instead, we are designed to work hard when we work and rest hard when we rest. There is a reason that on the seventh day God rested. It’s because He thought it was a GREAT idea for himself. There’s a reason that He included keeping the Sabbath day holy.
- It’s because we need time to recharge our batteries.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Are you taking the time to rest?
