Man with growth mindset contemplates concept of failure

Monday Morning Motivation – Failure

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "failure."

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Failure

I feel that one of my biggest strengths is how I view failure. Essentially, I don’t see it! That does NOT mean that I don’t fail—I fail all of the time. However, I don’t SEE failure.

By that I mean that, when I fail, I look at it as an opportunity for learning and growth. Yes, I failed. HOWEVER, I’ve just grown as an individual, and as a result, it was not really a failure.

While some may consider this a bizarre or naïve approach to the topic, I disagree. Failure has more subjectivity to it than many are willing to acknowledge. Focusing on the learning aspect of failure can—and does—change my feelings about falling short.

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • How do you look at failure?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
