Monday Morning Motivation – Enrich

(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Enrich

My friends over at Merriam-Webster define enrich as:

  • To make someone rich or richer
  • To improve the quality of something; to make something better
  • To improve the usefulness of quality of something by adding something to it

Personally I’d make the argument that the first and third definitions are really redundant / subsumed by the second.  Think about the second definition for a bit:

  • To improve the quality of something; to make something better

How many of you would like to have others say that YOU improve the quality of everything around you. That YOU make things better.  That YOU enrich the world.

Often times we measure our value in terms of dollars and cents.  There’s a case to be made that wealth goes beyond the money.  That it goes to those ways that we make the world around us better. To the ways that we enrich the lives of others.

That brings us to this morning’s thought:

  • How will you enrich the life of another today?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.
Curt
