Monday Morning Motivation – Faith and Fear

(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Faith and Fear

Over time I have developed a few of my own personal “quotes”.  At the top of this list is:

  • All things in life come down to faith over fear

It’s been amazing to me since I came up with this particular expression at just how much truth there is in it.  Some examples/instances where it comes in to play:

  • Letting your kids go out on their own
  • Taking a new job
  • Moving to a new location
  • Relationship issues
  • Health issues
  • Financial issues

Each and every one of us eventually will face a challenge that seems insurmountable.  For me, when such a crisis emerges, it is often accompanied by that sense of fear in my stomach.  If I pay attention to that feeling, the fear often results in paralysis.  Conversely if I turn to my faith, suddenly things seem a bit less daunting.

You can’t see, touch, hear, or smell either fear or faith.  But you can FEEL both of them.

With that in mind, my question for you this week is:

  • Will you let the fear or the faith win out the next time you face a challenge?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.

Curt
