Monday Morning Motivation – Reading
(Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially)
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement — along with a good cup of coffee! — to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

We are are now officially in 2018 and for the past weeks, I was stealing shamelessly from Hal Elrod’s “The Miracle Morning”. In the book, Elrod suggests six things that you should do to start each day. He suggests that you will be massively more productive AND happier as an individual if you take on his challenge and perform these six things at the start of each day.
I have incorporated all six into my routine – although one of them I shift to later in the day AND one of them I don’t do as regularly as I should. And, NO, I am not going to tell you which ones these are.
Hopefully you can take away an idea or two over the next few weeks that will help you to end 2017 strong and start 2018 even stronger. Have an awesome week!
The fifth pillar of Elrod’s “Miracle Morning” is reading.
Just as exercise is for strengthening the body, so is reading for strengthening the mind.
Personally, reading has been absolutely present in my life, my wife’s life, and our kids’ lives. We all devour books. While our choices are different, the commonality is that we can absorb the knowledge, wisdom and experiences of others quickly and easily vis-à-vis consuming books.
I can think of no better activity to encourage others to pursue than reading!
That brings us to this week’s question:
- What are you going to read this week?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning and I wish you all the best for the week.

(Note: Each week I publish “Monday Morning Motivation” in the hopes that one person will find a bit of inspiration and that inspiration will have a positive impact on their life. My motivation comes from experiences, reading, sermons, and discussions.)
