Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "solution."
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
Last week I wrote about problems and raised the question:
- Can you fully define the biggest problem you are now facing in your life?
Taking the time to identify the problem is absolutely critical. It can also be absolutely paralyzing! Many people when faced with a problem get “stuck” focusing on the problem. While it is necessary first to fully identify any problem you face, the key is to move on to identifying and implementing a solution to the problem.
“The key is to move on to identifying
and implementing a solution to the problem.”
Not all problems have solutions
I am NOT for one moment suggesting that some problems are insignificant OR that finding and implementing a solution is easy. Some problems are incredibly difficult and may not be solvable.
Making this transition in focus is critical: problem to solution
However, I AM suggesting that once you have the problem fully defined, it is pointless to keep your focus on the problem. You need to focus on the solution. Making the transition is critical to putting the problem behind you.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Are you focused on the problem or the solution?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
