Monday Morning Motivation – Potential

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "potential."

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Potential

Spring has sprung and, with it, comes the promise of fresh growth. That’s got me thinking about the topic of “potential.”

By nature, I am incredibly optimistic. In just about every situation in which I find myself, I see the opportunity for the new and exciting. I have come to realize that this is an incredible gift that I have been blessed with. However, it’s not worth a whole lot unless I ACT on the potential. In fact, I would argue that seeing what is possible and NOT going after it is 1,000 times worse than NOT seeing what is possible.

Making a conscious effort to look for opportunity when you are in the worst of situations is one of the most powerful mind games that you can play. We each possess more ability in our minds than we will ever tap into. Slowing down and reaching deep when in the most challenging situations pays huge dividends:

  • When things go wrong, always remember to ask, “What does this make possible?”

I’m not guaranteeing that this will always provide you the requisite clarity to get out of a challenging situation; however, more times than not, looking for the opportunity—when none seems available—has opened doors for me that I had no idea were even available to consider opening!

As a result, I’ve been able to accomplish things that I would’ve never even considered before the obstacle.

The challenge is to believe that all things are possible and to open your mind to search out how to achieve the seemingly impossible.

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • Are you achieving your potential?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
