Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "response."
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
One of my favorite things to say is that all things in life come down to faith over fear. I truly believe this. However, I also truly believe that this is something extremely easy to say, and extremely hard to embrace/put into practice.
At the heart of this statement is a belief that we all have agency or control over our response to any and all situations. That right or desired response is NOT always easy to execute, but it is always our own. At our core, we all possess free will to make choices.
The current environment in the world makes this topic particularly timely. Facing a global pandemic, each of us needs to make some critical decisions about where we will and will not go, as well as what we will and will not do.
For me, I am trying to strike a balance. On the one hand, I do not have any signs and feel that I am at minimum risk of contracting the virus and having a bad outcome. However, on the other hand, I am fully cognizant that the virus is very contagious AND nothing to mess around with. Furthermore, I recognize that I need to weigh my actions against the potential impact I could have on others. Not easy.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- What will your response be?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
