Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss tolerance.
Hopefully, the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others who you think would benefit from the content.
Sometimes we all need to take a stand. Unfortunately, lately—in my opinion—way too many people are taking stands that show a lack of tolerance for others.
My level of disgust with public behavior has never been as high as it is now. Over the past decade, we have devolved into a society where tolerance no longer seems to exist. Those who harbor views counter to our own are dismissed, condemned, canceled, and sometimes even subjected to violence.
I don’t expect anyone to agree with me on all things. And I don’t expect I’ll agree with anyone on all things. But I do expect—of others and of myself—a full measure of tolerance for anything that is protected under the law.
Failure to tolerate what is legal starts in motion a migration to lawlessness—to a place where there is no longer protection under the law. And that is a very scary prospect in my mind.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Are you embracing tolerance in your life?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
