Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "peace."
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
By nature, I am NOT one to sit still. I always have to be doing something—working, exercising, reading, fishing, socializing, etc. Only over the last few years have I found the pleasure in sitting still and doing nothing at all.
Finding peace is NOT about achieving something. Rather, it is about being comfortable with accepting things as they are. If you are not OK with things as they are, you’ll start “fixing it,” and the result will quickly be a state of dissonance, which is incongruent with peace.
Does this mean that I am totally done “moving”? No way. Striving for goals is something that I will likely do until the day I die. However, I’m optimistic that by establishing a “do nothing” goal, I will make more progress towards finding peace in my life.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- Are you at peace with how you are living your life?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
About MMM: Each week I publish “Monday Morning Motivation” in the hopes that at least one person will find a bit of inspiration and that this inspiration will have a positive impact on their life. My motivation comes from experiences, reading, sermons, and discussions.
