Monday Morning Motivation – Perceptions

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss perceptions.

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Perceptions

I’m NOT going to venture directly into the topic of politics. However, I am going to skirt around the edges this week.

It is NOT surprising that people in the US are divided on issues. That’s always been the case, and—in my opinion—it always will be the case. We are a melting pot of 330 million people, and, as such, we would expect there to be a multitude of opinions.

What IS surprising is how diverse the perceptions of what is going on in our country are at present. Whether the topic is economic policy, foreign policy, Covid-19, race, or any one of a number of other topics, when speaking with different individuals, you receive feedback about their perceptions which are incredibly diverse.

I am NOT arguing for or against any of the perspectives. I AM arguing that we all would be well served to take the time to do our OWN research and allow this to play a part in forming our perceptions.

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • Are your perceptions accurate?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
