Monday Morning Motivation – Reset

By: Curt Stowers

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "reset."

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Reset

Man, wouldn’t it be nice if life had a reset button! I’m guessing that more than a few of those reading this are thinking, “YEAH!”

  • Who says it doesn’t?

I’m NOT suggesting that any of us can go back in time and change things. That’s not realistic. However, I would argue that much of what we tell ourselves is “impossible” (based on past experiences) is simply us lying to ourselves and allowing the past to play WAY too big of a roll in our future.

Our past has shaped us, no doubt. However, we have MASSIVE potential inside each of our minds. You see this every day where people you know have overcome hurdles that seemed insurmountable. Was it easy for them? Rarely. Did it require hard work? Absolutely. Did they pull it off? Yep.

As Stephen Covey says:

  • All things are created twice. First mentally. Then physically.

We have incredible powers within us if we decide to use them—if we decide to push the reset button and start anew.

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • What’s keeping you from doing a reset in your life?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
