Going in revere

Monday Morning Motivation – Reverse

Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially

Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day. Today we discuss "reverse."

Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week.  Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.

Reverse

We take for granted how easy it is to put our car in reverse. Put on the brakes. Let things come to a full stop. Shift the gear. Head backwards.

If only life were that easy! Well maybe it is!

If you’re anything like me, you’re screwed up something in your life. Part of focusing on achievements is NOT focusing on other things. And sometimes that causes you to miss the things that are really important. Sometimes that stings.

All too often we go to “what if” or “if only” in these instances—but life does NOT have a do-over button. However, just like the car, life DOES have a reverse button. The challenge is having the courage to push the button.

Pushing the button comes with a huge price—it often means we have to admit that we were wrong. And many of us—me at the top of that list—hate to admit we were—OR ARE!—wrong. Funny thing is, if you didn’t like the result you got, you probably ARE wrong, and admitting it is the fastest, most efficient way to get right with things. But that does mean that we have to reverse course and acknowledge that we are wrong.

Is it easy to do this? Nope. Is it worth it? Almost always.

That brings us to this week’s question:

  • Is it time for you to put things in reverse?

Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning

Have a great week!

Curt
