Create
Musicians and artists have always fascinated me. That’s because when it came to music or art, I did receive any natural talent. To me, watching these “creatives” perform their magic is absolutely amazing.
Interestingly, as I have gotten older, my view on creativity has started to change. It can best be summed up by this one statement:
- What seems ordinary for one, seems extraordinary for another.
While music and art are a black hole to me, numbers and logic are “easy” to me. Over time, I have come to realize that I have a real gift in the way that my mind is able to process facts and data. To me, it’s easy and something I just “do.” There is a key point here—most of us DO what we are good at and, in the process, become even better at that thing or those things.
What’s the point? Simple: Each of us has our own unique ability to create. We need to recognize and celebrate these gifts and talents in ourselves and in others.
That brings us to this week’s question:
- What are you designed to create?
