Sharing Resources to Help You Grow Personally, Professionally & Financially
Sometimes it helps to get a little dose of encouragement—along with a good cup of coffee!—to start the day.
Hopefully the message below will help you get off to a good start for the week. Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to others that you think would benefit from the content.
Some words bring a good feeling to me just seeing, hearing, or writing them. Encouragement is near the top of that list.
We all face challenges on a daily basis. These challenges consume a huge amount of our energy and often prevent us from recognizing that others are facing their own challenges. As a result, we fail to reach out and support those around us; instead, we find ourselves making a choice to prioritize our requirements above others’.
Just taking the time to stop and listen to what others around us are facing is one of the most encouraging things you can do! With all of the time constraints these days, offering a sympathetic ear is a huge gift that we can offer.
Even better are those instances where you can provide a few simple words of encouragement to those facing challenges. CAVEAT—Your encouragement HAS TO BE SINCERE AND FROM THE HEART!
While the above may seem too good to be true, it is not. Giving time, offering an open set of ears, and providing words of encouragement are some of the most generous gifts we can provide.
Now here’s the ultimate irony: when we offer any of these three, we often find that we receive huge blessings in return. In particular, when we act with kindness and compassion of this nature, we build stronger and better relationships. And that is what it is all about in my humble opinion!
That brings us to this week’s question:
How are you doing in providing encouragement to others?
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time with me this Monday morning.
Have a great week!
